Our Team of Experts
A veteran startup entrepreneur and venture investor with 45 years experience in over 200 startups, Dan pioneered the growth of wireless tech with McCaw Cellular (now AT&T Wireless) and was an early investor in Starbucks. He is currently a Senior Partner of Capria Ventures and Managing Partner of eFund LLC, an early-stage funder of innovative tech startups.
A serial entrepreneur and global venture investor, Will’s career started by founding two startups at the dawn of the PC era, working in the early days at Sun Microsystems, and pioneering e-commerce at eShop, acquired by Microsoft in 1996. At Microsoft, he ran the $13B global Windows business and started their product focus on emerging markets. Will is the co-founder and managing partner of Unitus Seed Fund, founded in 2012, and Capria, founded in 2015.
An experience edtech professional, Ramya Srinivasan is Program Director and manages strategic and operational activities at Capria VentureBasecamp. Ramya brings fifteen years of technology-based professional experience in areas ranging from middleware systems engineering to technology marketing to digital learning. She has been responsible for setting up one of India’s largest Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) Programme at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, creating access to management education for more than 700,000 global learners. She has also handled technology marketing assignments for a consulting firm and started her career writing Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) code for Intel.
Business Development & Partnerships
An educational startup founder and startup coach, Mehar Zariwala leads the business development and partnership efforts at Capria VentureBasecamp. Mehar started her first educational company at the age of 24. During her stint at the ISB DLabs incubator at Hyderabad she has coached and mentored startups from various sectors. Over the last 12 years she has been practicing experiential learning and design thinking with a varied audience spread across different geographies. Her constant endeavour is to work at the intersection of business, design and learning.
Mohammad Najmuzzaman is the Product Manager at Capria VentureBasecamp and manages the product development, delivery and feedback process. Mohammad brings in 9 years of experiential education experience as an international trainer on Intercultural Learning and as a current member of the Board of Trustees at AFS. He holds an MBA in Innovation and Intrapreneurship and founded an e-commerce start-up in his B-school hostel.
Learning Design Manager
Suvam Bhattacharya is the Learning Design manager and manages the digital learning pedagogies of training programs at Capria VentureBasecamp. With over 13 years of experience in Research & Development (R&D), e-Learning and the Learning & Development (L&D) space, he has contributed to for international curricula like NSES, Cambridge, IB, UK Edexcell and AP(US).
Previously he has worked closely in course creation with well-known learning initiatives such as SOLE (Self Organised Learning Environments) and the phenomenon-based learning.
